In residency : Inkörper Company
Aurélien Dougé's creations lie at the crossroads of installation and performance. Through various types of devices (immersive environments, urban journeys, etc.), he invites the spectator to cross the threshold of a renewed sensitive space.
His practice involves long processes that are akin to those in the laboratory. By probing matter, visible and invisible, always chosen for its intrinsic properties or its potential for transformation, he investigates porosity and entanglements. The ecosystems it sets up, (re) deployed based on the architectural or environmental data of the venues, tend to open up to other forms of attention and relationships.
Aurélien Dougé will be hosted in a performative and sound research residency at Flux Laboratory from May 20 to June 3, 2021 for a new creation around water. For this project, he collaborates with playwright Antonio Cuenca Ruiz, performers Adaline Anobile, Jonas Chéreau and Sonia Garcia, sound designer Rudy Decelière, lighting designer Perrine Cado and misting specialist Eric Dufour. Ice, dry ice and mist are the main elements of writing at this stage. A presentation of the work in progress will take place on Tuesday, June 1 before the creation to be held in February 2022 at the Pavillon de la Danse - ADC in Geneva.
