CHOTTO XENOS BY CHOREOGRAPHER AKRAM KHAN

CHOTTO XENOS BY CHOREOGRAPHER AKRAM KHAN

Flux Laboratory, in collaboration with Teatro Franco Parenti, under the patronage of the Consulate General of Switzerland in Milan, is happy to present the piece by the famous choreographer Akram Khan entitled Chotto Xenos on Saturday 9th October at 4.30pm at Teatro Franco Parenti in Milan.

Based on the latest solo Xenos, Chotto Xenos is a captivating dance performance that invites young audiences to go back in time. The piece encourages them to reflect on colonialism, the absurdity of wars and their impact on humanity.

In the heart of a scenography evoking the trenches, the show is transformed into a powerful narrative carried by tender and poignant visual effects, incandescent lights and music set in a bewitching soundscape. A skilful blend of Indian dance - kathak - and contemporary dance, the dance is powerful and gentle, giving body and life to this abandoned humanity.

Chotto Xenos captures the gaze of an emerging generation so that they do not forget the history of wars, giving them a unique artistic experience that advocates tolerance and a peaceful world.
