Burning Giraffe performance
Flux Laboratory is pleased to support the performance Burning Giraffe which will be presented as part of the Fête de la danse in Geneva from May 6th to 8th, 2021.
2 choreographers stage several confined dancers.
What can be more human than the imagination to face a disconcerting situation? The dancers spend three days in the window and, just like during a lockdown, in their apartment, invent a new world to deal with the situation.
The showcase opens to the viewer as a glimpse into the subconscious and creative world of the dancer.
A surreal sense of what's going on in the mind of an individual with limited physical space. The more time passes, the more space becomes absurd in the eyes of the spectator, who testifies to the power of the mind in being able to leave tangible space and thus broaden its playing field.
